Preface Coffee is a micro-roastery for those who seek out life’s tiny pleasures: handwritten notes in secondhand books, the smell of the air as it sighs before a thunderstorm.
We believe that one of the sweetest of these pleasures is, simply, a good cup of coffee.
At Preface, we publish noteworthy coffee that we enjoy drinking. The farmers we source from are the authors of these coffees; our job, through roasting in small batches, is to bring their work to life.
What kind of reading do you do?
We are led by a love of reading, writing, and the coffees that accompany these practices.
So much so, that we’ve written stories that we feel capture a coffee’s mood. Alongside conventional taste notes, think of these vignettes as ‘memory notes’ that will augment your experience of a coffee.
